Dudley is feeling overworked. He doesn't ever seem to get caught up at the office, because he spends every minute engrossed in one fantastic daydream after another. Suddenly, Dudley is fired. He is ecstatic, for now he can daydream all day long with no pesky paperwork intrusions. But unemployment brings a fresh set of problems, and things get tense until the he finds his "dream job," a position at the Dream Factory that requires all-day dreaming. Lively, intricate illustrations juxtapose Dudley's dreary office job with his exciting dream world, and the happy resolution of his career crisis gives hope to dreamers everywhere.
