Some of his greatest inspirations are bits of Americana: Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, Old Movies, Barbeque and the Dust Bowl Era of the 1930s. His artistic heroes include Pablo Picasso, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Al Hirschfeld, Thomas Hart Benton, Stanton MacDonald-Wright, Diego Rivera and Miguel Covarrubias. He loves vintage texture and explores color, shape and movement from Cubism, Futurism and Synchronism. He is a BIG fan of illustration. He still works and lives in the Midwest with his family. On his birthday, he eats dry ribs and takes the family to a movie.
