空間的一堂課: 點線面

「空間的一堂課：點線面」為臺北市立美術館兒童藝術教育中心為親子觀眾策畫之展覽，以「點線成面」為主題，策劃展出多田美波、李元佳、林壽宇、陳曉朋、康雅筑、謝榕蔚等六位現當代藝術家作品，邀請觀眾透過繪畫、雕塑、編織、空間裝置、攝影等各類藝術類型，探索對空間的體驗與思考。

西方抽象表現主義藝術家康丁斯基( Wassily Kandinsky )在1926年出版《點、線、面》，具體分析構成藝術的三個基本元素：點、線、面，深入討論它們在視覺藝術中的表現及意涵；「空間的一堂課：點線面」展場設計靈感來自康丁斯基作品《構成第八號》，觀眾能實際在立體幾何式的展場結構中穿梭。透過本館典藏以及臺灣、日本藝術家的精彩作品，搭配六項互動體驗裝置，邀請觀眾深入展覽，以超越視覺的感官體驗，探索點、線、面所激發的情緒、感受和視覺效果，重新喚醒對空間的敏銳感知。

本展覽專輯收錄展出：藝術家作品、謝榕蔚特為本展創作之全新參與式作品、臺北市立美術館等三件建築作品介紹以及六項主題概念延伸設計之互動體驗裝置概念與紀錄，回望展覽意圖作為讀者接觸當代藝術的開端的初衷和目標。

Since its inauguration, the Children’s Arts Education Center of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum has been committed to promoting aesthetic education with the aim of encouraging children’s engagement in art that will further facilitate their understanding of the connotations of works of art. By means of thematic exhibitions and workshops, along with interactive installations developed in collaboration with contemporary artists, the Center expects the game-based sensory exploration and creative participation it provides to enhance children’s perceptual abilities and stimulate their critical thinking about relevant concepts.

With regard to works of art, their visual compositions are inextricably linked to basic geometric elements whether creators apply their creative thinking on planes or in three-dimensional spaces. Artists also express their viewpoints through these compositions. These elements may ergo count as the starting point for comprehending all artistic creations and their associated visual culture.

Following this context, the Center presents the exhibition titled “A Class on Space: Point and Line to Plane” which revolves around the three components of art, i.e. point, line, and plane. This exhibition features the works created by six artists, including Tada Minami, Li Yuan-Chia, Lin Richard, Chen Shiau-Peng, Kang Ya-Chu, and Hsieh Jung-Wei. Meanwhile, the exhibition themes are extended via six interactive installations. Through the diverse art forms of painting, sculpture, knitting, spatial installation, and photography, as well as the game-based installation design and workshops for children, this exhibition further constructs the structural mass and spatial dimension with points, lines, and planes. Discussions on multiple aspects like lighting and proportion also take place in this exhibition to heighten children’s spatial awareness. In sum, this exhibition is expected to offer children an alternative approach to the art world.
