內容簡介
內容簡介 Orwell’s timeless classics, now in a two-book trade paperback boxed set1984: Written more than seventy-five years ago, 1984 was George Orwell’s chilling prophecy about the future. And while the year 1984 has come and gone, his dystopian vision of a government that will do anything to control the narrative is timelier than ever.ANIMAL FARM: Set on a farm full of overworked and mistreated animals, George Orwell’s razor-edged allegory offers a scathing satire on a downtrodden society’s blind march from revolution against tyranny toward a totalitarianism just as terrible.Today it is devastatingly clear that wherever and whenever freedom is attacked, under whatever banner, the cutting clarity and savage comedy of George Orwell’s masterpiece classics have a meaning and message still ferociously fresh
