作者介紹 伊塔羅．卡爾維諾（Italo Calvino，1923–1985）出生於古巴，在義大利聖雷莫長大。他以散文家與記者的身份起步，但最廣為人知的是他的小說作品，包括《看不見的城市》（Invisible Cities）、《如果在冬夜，一個旅人》（If on a Winter’s Night a Traveler）、《馬可瓦爾多》（Marcovaldo）以及《帕洛馬先生》（Mr. Palomar）。安東尼·多爾（Anthony Doerr）是普立茲獎得獎小說《我們看不見的光》（All the Light We Cannot See）的作者。他還著有兩部短篇小說集《記憶之牆》（Memory Wall）與《貝殼收藏家》（The Shell Collector）、長篇小說《恩典之約》（About Grace）以及回憶錄《羅馬四季》（Four Seasons in Rome）。多爾曾獲得四次歐·亨利獎、羅馬獎、紐約公共圖書館青年獅子獎、國家雜誌獎（小說類）、古根漢獎學金以及短篇小說獎。他與妻子和兩個兒子現居美國愛達荷州博伊西市。Italo Calvino (1923–1985) was born in Cuba and grew up in San Remo, Italy. He is also the author of the two story collections Memory Wall and The Shell Collector, the novel About Grace, and the memoir Four Seasons in Rome. He has won four O. Henry Prizes, the Rome Prize, the New York Public Library’s Young Lions Award, the National Magazine Award for fiction, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Story Prize.
