This canine Christmas classic is the perfect way to introduce young readers to the spirit of the holidays through the eyes of a curious new puppy. Filled with cozy traditions and laugh-out-loud puppy mishaps, it's a story about the timeless power of love, family, and devotion.

A Furry Holiday Fiasco

For Ruby the puppy, her first Christmas morning is a whirlwind of strange smells and the mysterious "white stuff" on the ground. But the biggest puzzle of all is the phrase she hears everyone saying: Merry Christmas!
Does it mean "rip up the sparkly paper"? Does it mean "treats from the table"? Every time Ruby thinks she has it figured out, something goes hilariously wrong! Join Ruby and her brand-new girl, Ello, as they navigate one floppy-eared family fiasco at a time to discover the true meaning of the season.

Jaclyn Sinquett grew up playing in her dad's garden, feeding worms to box turtles, and tossing french fries to seagulls at the Jersey shore. She now spends her time avoiding sunburn at the beach with her husband and daughter, chasing her cat off the kitchen table, listening to her parrot impersonate an alarm clock, and illustrating books for children. Some of her best-known works include How to Get Your Octopus to School, Loud Mouse, and I Love Strawberries!
