內容簡介 《神曲》（義大利文：Divina Commedia），是義大利詩人但丁的史詩，寫於1307年至1321年。《神曲》被認為是歐洲最偉大的文學作品之一，也是世界最重要的文學作品之一。全詩為三部《地獄篇》《煉獄篇》《天堂篇》，每部33首，最前面增加一首序詩，一共100首。詩句是三行一段，連鎖押韻，各首長短大致相等，每部也基本相等。（地獄4720行；煉獄4755行；天堂4758行），每部都以「群星」（stelle）一詞結束。 地獄篇 (Inferno)：地獄形似一個上寬下窄的漏斗，共9層。第一層是林勃，生於基督之前，未能接受洗禮的古代異教徒，在這裡等候上帝的審判。在其餘8層，罪人的靈魂按生前所犯的罪孽（貪色、饕餮、貪婪、憤怒、信奉邪教、強暴、欺詐、背叛），分別接受不同的嚴酷刑罰。 地獄之門上的銘刻： 「這裡直通悲慘之城， 由我這裡直通無盡之苦， 這裡直通墮落眾生． ． ．我永存不朽， 我之前，萬象未形， 只有永恆的事物存在，來者啊！快將一切希望揚棄!」 (Inferno III 1-9) 地獄過道：騎牆派的亡魂在此受苦受難，他們跟隨著一面永遠無法停止的無主旗幟四處飄蕩，一邊受可怕的牛虻和馬蜂叮蜇。其中包含撒旦叛天時沒有表達鮮明立場的天使。 這時將目光放遠一點，看見大河河畔聚集著無數亡魂，這條河名為阿刻戎河(Acheron)，亦名苦難之河、禍川。船伕卡戎(Charon)在此將安葬的亡魂送到對岸的冥府。One of the greatest works of world literature. ‘Energetic, racy, rude and lyrical...buy this translation and spend a damn good season in hell’ Independent‘Abandon all hope, you who enter here…’When Dante finds himself lost in a dark and menacing wood, the ghost of Virgil offers to lead him to safety.
