Poems I Pray: Talking to God in Every Season
POEMS I PRAY
內容簡介
In a world that encourages children to rush through life, Poems I Pray invites children to see that there is joy in slowing down, noticing, and connecting with God and His creation.
In this collection of 35 free verse poems, a young girl slows down to notice. She sees the color of a winter sky, the muck of mud between her toes, and the way a single purple bloom can feel like a promise of new life to come. In every unhurried moment, she turns her wanderings to prayers, telling God what she sees, what she longs for, and thanking Him for all He has made in nature and beyond. Each poetic prayer is a celebration of nature and wonder and an example of 1 Thessalonians 5:17's urge to "pray without ceasing." Poems I Pray invites your child to:- See the beauty in looking up at God's creation instead of down at a screen
- Experience prayer as a joyful conversation rather than a task to complete
- Embrace God's presence in every ordinary and extraordinary moment
- See the beauty in nature throughout every season
- Celebrate childlike faith
For the family that longs to trade hurry for slowness, Poems I Pray is a gift for every season. It's perfect for the school bookshelf, Sunday school class, or homeschool classroom and would make a beautiful addition to any home library. It can be read all at once or savored, one poem at a time, throughout seasons of the year, reminding young readers that the God who made everything is always listening.
