內容簡介 Joseph Ibn Kaspi (c. 1280-1345) was born in Provence and spent time in Egypt and Spain. His works include commentaries on the Hebrew Bible as well as epitomes of works by Plato and Aristotle. A recurring theme in Ibn Kaspi's work is the compatibility between the Hebrew Bible and Aristotelian philosophy, and his interpretations of both, among other canonical medieval philosophical texts, continue to be illuminating and valuable. 作者介紹

作者介紹 Mor Segev is American Foundation for Greek Language and Culture Professor, Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies, and Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of South Florida. His publications include Aristotle on Religion (2017), The Value of the World and of Oneself: Philosophical Optimism and Pessimism from Aristotle to Modernity (2022), and various articles. Segev held a Junior Core Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Study at the Central European University, a Visiting Fellowship at St. Catherine's College, Oxford, and a Visiting Fellowship at the Warburg Institute, University of London.
