1ST & 2ND BKS OF ADAM & EVE -
內容簡介
Newly Revised and Edited!
The Conflict with Satan is a dramatic, large-print modern translation of the First and Second Books of Adam and Eve, also known as the Books of the Conflict of Adam and Eve with Satan. These vivid apocryphal writings expand the story of Eden with supernatural detail, emotional intensity, and apocalyptic vision. This edition also includes a newly modernized version of the Latin Life of Adam and Eve-commonly called the Apocalypse of Moses-which offers a different Eden source tradition preserved in ancient Latin manuscripts. Together, these texts reveal what early Jewish and Christian communities believed about the aftermath of the Fall, the nature of Satan, and God's long plan for redemption.
In these pages, you'll encounter:
A cosmic battle for humanity's soul after the expulsion from Eden
Satan in many disguises-angel of light, beggar, false father, and more
The origin of prayer, sacrifice, penance, and divine mercy
A 5,500-year prophecy of the coming of the Messiah
Themes of exile, suffering, spiritual deception, and promised restoration
Alongside the complete modernized translations, this edition includes original essays and commentary exploring the theology, symbolism, and cultural impact of these once-forgotten texts.
Formatted in large print (16 pt font) and presented in clean, contemporary English, this edition is ideal for Bible study, devotional reading, or historical research.
This edition includes:
A modern English translation of The First and Second Books of Adam and Eve
A full modern translation of the Apocalypse of Moses (Latin Life of Adam and Eve)
