A wild night in Las Vegas turns into something far more complicated when the sun comes up, and two best friends discover they're wearing wedding bands with no memory of how they got them.
Luke Ledger is the star forward for the Minnesota Grizzlies professional hockey team. Confident on the ice but guarded off it, Luke has spent the last year hiding his deep-rooted feelings for his best friend, Claire Sinclair. Claire, a strong-willed forward and captain of her college women's hockey team, is used to standing her ground and keeping her emotions locked away. As the last of her friends still in school, she often feels like she's been left behind, unseen by the people who matter most.
With her parents far away in Arizona and a brother focused on his own family, Claire is tired of feeling like an afterthought. Luke's own life isn't much steadier. After leaving Oklahoma to chase his hockey dreams, his relationship with his family fractured. His father cut ties before passing away, and the bond with his mother and twin brother remains strained.
When their accidental Vegas marriage suddenly becomes the perfect solution, Luke and Claire agree to play along, for now. What begins as a convenient arrangement quickly blurs the line between friendship and something deeper.
