作者介紹
Tomàs Gonzàlez naciÃ3 en MedellÃ-n, Colombia, en 1950. EstudiÃ3 FilosofÃ-a en la Universidad Nacional y trabajÃ3 como barman en la discoteca El Goce Pagano, que publicÃ3 su primera novela a finales de 1983. Ese mismo año partiÃ3 hacia Estados Unidos y viviÃ3 tres años en Miami y diecisÃ(c)is en Nueva York, donde escribiÃ3 buena parte de su obra y se ganÃ3 la vida como traductor. VolviÃ3 a Colombia en 2002, donde vive actualmente.
Su obra incluye las novelas Primero estaba el mar (1983), Para antes del olvido (1987, ganadora del V Premio de Novela Plaza y JanÃ(c)s), La historia de Horacio (2000), Los caballitos del diablo (2003), Abraham entre bandidos (2010), La luz difÃ-cil (2011), Temporal (2013), Niebla al mediodÃ-a (2015) y El fin del ocÃ(c)ano PacÃ-fico (2020); el poemario Manglares (1997); los libros de relatos El rey del Honka-Monka (1995), El lejano amor de los extraños (2013), El Expreso del Sol (2016), Vista del abismo (Alfaguara, 2025) y la antologÃ-a La espinosa belleza del mundo (2019), asÃ- como la colecciÃ3n de ensayos Asombro (2021).
