The Lord intends to introduce us to the oceans of truth He has in store for those who love Him and purify themselves before Him, to whom He grants the privilege of seeing and knowing for themselves. Think of it: So many worlds have been organized by Jesus Christ that they are "without number"-and many of them have "passed away" after their organization. From what we can observe with our present technology, there are now trillions, even more, quadrillions, yet even more, stars. Our present state of science confirms our Lord's creations are beyond our ability to count, more so if we consider all that have passed away alongside all now rolling into creation.
Jesus Christ faithfully followed what the Father required. He set the mark and provided the example for us to follow. Now we are offered the same opportunity to continue on the upward journey. But moving upward is only accomplished by obedience and fidelity to the Father's plan. Jesus Christ is the revelation of what following that plan requires of us.
The Lord requires patience in order for us to possess our souls. The Lord's pace must be accepted. Pushing it forward or pulling it back will not alter it. He does not share our haste. Haste is a mousetrap designed by the adversary to exploit a character flaw. None of us understands our circumstances better than the Lord.
When there is finally a society capable of living in harmony with one another, Zion will follow in due course as a natural by-product of that society. If it could be achieved as a goal at a chosen location, then earlier, better people would already have accomplished it. Generations have come and gone, hoping to see it return, and have not done so. We are no better than other failed utopians and cannot do better than the past failures until we begin to acquire the necessary traits and skills that allow authentic harmony to thrive and grow.
There is still a great gulf separating us from the promised New Jerusalem. There is a need for order, and order should be the result of following correct principles. If we are taught correct principles, then we should be able to govern ourselves.
