30 Black Inventors That Changed the World
30 BLACK INVENTORS THAT CHANGE
內容簡介
Discover the remarkable Black inventors, scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and technology pioneers whose ideas helped shape the modern world.
30 Black Inventors That Changed the World brings together inspiring biographies of African American innovators whose contributions influenced electricity, transportation, medicine, agriculture, communication, computing, home security, space science, public safety, and everyday technology. From Lewis Howard Latimer, Garrett Morgan, Granville T. Woods, and Madam C. J. Walker to Dr. Patricia Bath, Dr. Gladys West, Mark Dean, George Washington Carver, and many others, these powerful stories reveal the people behind inventions and discoveries that continue to affect our lives today.
Each profile explores the challenges these Black history pioneers faced, the problems they worked to solve, and the courage, creativity, discipline, and perseverance that helped them succeed despite discrimination, limited resources, and lack of recognition. The book also explains important inventions, patents, scientific achievements, engineering breakthroughs, medical innovations, business accomplishments, and technological advances in clear and accessible language.
Educational, engaging, and inspiring, this book is ideal for anyone interested in Black history, African American inventors, STEM education, science and technology, engineering history, innovation, entrepreneurship, biographies of successful people, and stories of resilience and achievement. It is a celebration of Black excellence and a powerful reminder that great ideas can come from any background-and that one determined person can change the world.
