作者介紹
Ã0/00lmer Mendoza (Culiacàn, Sinaloa, 1949) es catedràtico de literatura en la Universidad AutÃ3noma de Sinaloa, miembro de la Academia Mexicana de la Lengua, presidente del Colegio de Sinaloa y comprometido promotor de la literatura a nivel nacional. ComenzÃ3 su carrera literaria en 1978, y en 1999 Un asesino solitario, su primera novela, de inmediato lo situÃ3, a juicio del crÃ-tico Federico Campbell, como «el primer narrador que recoge con acierto el efecto de la cultura del narcotràfico en nuestro paÃ-s». Con El amante de Janis Joplin (2001) obtuvo el XVII Premio Nacional de Literatura JosÃ(c) Fuentes Mares y con Efecto tequila (2005) fue finalista del premio Dashiell Hammett. En 2008, Balas de plata fue merecedora del III Premio Tusquets Editores de Novela, que lo consagrÃ3 como escritor de primera fila en el panorama de la novela hispànica. Las novelas protagonizadas por Edgar «el Zurdo» Mendieta -Balas de plata (2008), La prueba del àcido (2010), Nombre de perro (2012), Besar al detective (Literatura Random House, 2015) y Asesinato en el Parque Sinaloa (Literatura Random House, 2017)- constituyen sin duda la saga policiaca màs emblemàtica de la literatura mexicana, que ha traspasado fronteras para ser conocida en diez idiomas.
