She is the author of the British Academy Peter Townsend Prize-winning Hunger Pains: Life Inside Foodbank Britain. She co-founded the Global Solidarity Alliance for Food, Health, and Social Justice (GSA), an international collaboration between scholars, NGOs, and grassroots campaigners.
