Christian Posture: Walk Tall, Stand Straight in a Crooked World - Eight Core Doctrines: Vol. 2 (Doctrines 5-8)
CHRISTIAN POSTURE
內容簡介
What if Your New Man had a Stronger Core?
In Christian Posture, author David Parker Mitchell presents eight core doctrines hidden in the first few verses of Hebrews 6 in the New Testament. Whether you are a new believer or a seasoned follower of Christ, mastering these doctrines is like strengthening your spiritual "core." Just as strong abs stabilize the whole body and encourage a strong balanced posture, these truths will strengthen your walk with God and equip you for victory in the spiritual warfare that surrounds this fallen world.
Pastor Mitchell, 45 years in the ministry (33 as Sr. Pastor of Park Meadows Church) and a fourth-generation entrepreneur, and Founder and President of TRADEWAY, a Christian Investment Advisory Firm, has a strong influence in what Billy Graham once called "marketplace evangelism."
In the book, Pastor Mitchell takes you on a Bible tour through the landscape of the Early Church, through the transitional Apostolic Age, and into the present mature church age, all the way to the future battle of Armageddon. Along the way, he unpacks proper Bible interpretation skills for you to learn and practice.
Christian Posture delves into the magnificent Doctrine of Christ, exploring questions like: How do you know Jesus is the Christ? What distinguishes faith in Christ, faith OF Christ, and faith toward Christ? How many resurrections are there and when does the rapture occur? How many baptisms are mentioned in the Bible? The book also examines the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Great White Throne Judgment. It addresses the controversial topic of sign gifts-are they relevant for today? And perhaps most importantly, the book answers the question that many ask: Can I know that my salvation is secure forever?
The majestic doctrines of salvation by grace through faith and its components are covered with precision by Pastor Mitchell. Whether you are a new Christian or a seasoned believer, David Parker Mitchell encourages you with the knowledge that when you know what you believe and why, and your walk reflects it, you have a super-power that has a positive effect upon the world. Strengthening your core beliefs from the Bible will enhance your influence, and help you transform your family, your work, and your community. Christian Posture reminds you who you are in Christ and calls you to walk tall and stand straight as you reflect the light of Jesus Christ into a rapidly darkening world.
