Más de 250.000 ejemplares vendidos

Madrid, 1937.

Madrid, 1937. At the precise instant a bomb falls on a building in the heart of the city, near the Gran Vía, the lives of two neighborhood girls change forever.

Elvira, whose parents run the guest house on the third floor, is living in exile in France to escape the Civil War. The loss of the home she's been yearning for will mark a before and after in her life.

Ángela, the daughter of the concierge, is there when the building is blown into smithereens. In that moment, she makes an impulsive decision: after rescuing the baby of couple that was staying at the guest house and died in the bombing, she flees with the child under an assumed name.

Elvira and Ángela have no reason to think that their paths will cross again, or that another guest house will be the meeting place of a new generation of women who, like them, must turn grief into strength while trusting in the fragile promise of a better future.

The Guest House is a moving story of mothers and daughters navigating the vicissitudes of love, friendship, betrayal, and secrets that last a lifetime.
