作者介紹 Shamil Jeppie is associate professor of history at the University of Cape Town, where he founded the Tombouctou Manuscripts Project. He is the coeditor of The Meanings of Timbuktu. He is on the Advisory Board of the research center Understanding Written Artefacts at the University of Hamburg.
