作者介紹

作者介紹 Sharon A. Suh, Ph.D., is an intersectional feminist scholar and practitioner of Buddhism focusing on the intersections of religion, race, gender, trauma, and embodiment. She has a Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies from Harvard University and an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School. She has published widely in these areas and has received several trauma-informed certifications in mindfulness, yoga, and somatic healing modalities that she uses to lead workshops for faculty, staff, students, and the public on healing race-based trauma through mindfulness at national conferences, universities, and religious organizations throughout the country. She is author of Being Buddhist in a Christian World: Gender & Community in a Korean American Temple (University of Washington Press, 2004); Silver Screen Buddha: Buddhism in Asian and Western Film (Bloomsbury Press, 2015); and Occupy This Body: A Buddhist Memoir (Sumeru Press, 2019).
