內容簡介
內容簡介 SERENDIPITY presents the author's amazing, and life long, remarkable good fortune. The kind of good fortune or luck that typically is not foreseen nor planned for. It's unexpected nature is what makes it serendipitous - you're just minding your own business when life smiles on you. And boy has it smiled on Jon. The breadth of occurrences is staggering. A paperboy winning a trip to Disneyland without even knowing there was a contest. Being invited - yes invited - to go to medical school. Participating in the 2014 Kentucky Derby and winding up in the winner's circle. Taking a photograph of Chrome which wound up in Sports Illustrated and subsequently graced the cover of a book about Chrome's story. And how about meeting Queen Elizabeth. He simply walked up to her at the Ascot race track, smiled and bowed, and received her permission to take her picture. Or maybe it was the ride aboard a U.S. nuclear attack submarine. Or being on the winning pit crew at the Reno National Air Races with Dreadnought for whom he developed special airplane coatings to make her go faster - and they worked. Four "Unlimited" wins in six years. You'd think he'd get tired of all this good fortune, especially its unexpected nature. And you'd be right. But, as he says, nothing like a bit of unexpected good luck to perk-up a ho-hum day. Another example. Life was dealing him a few lumps when serendipity struck again. This time to be in a Jerry Lewis Madeline Kahn movie leading to Jon's admission to the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Despite his perpetual good luck Jon remains low key, approachable, and appreciative of what has been happening and hopes you'll enjoy reading all Serendipity's 40 stories. He also provides some hints on what you can do have serendipity touch your life.
