Wiggles & Waddle: Happy Hayride!: And Other Stories
WIGGLES & WADDLE HAPPY HAYRIDE
內容簡介
It's autumn on the farm and Wiggles the pig and Waddle the duck are enjoying all sorts of fall fun with their barnyard buddies. Includes four simple but engaging stories that your child will want to read again and again.
First, Waddle loves to pretend to drive the tractor and he's over the moon when the farmer brings him for his very first ride. But what happens when the other animals want a turn on the tractor, too? Can the farmer think of a way to take everyone for an unforgettable ride? Then, raking fall leaves turns into silly peek-a-boo fun, when the animals take turns hiding in leaf piles. Using context clues, can your little one guess which critter is hiding? Peek-a-boo! Next, the tree on the farm is full of delicious apples, but they are too far away for Wiggles and Waddle to reach! With a little teamwork, will there be yummy apples for everyone? Finally, the animals discover a little green something growing next to the barn. It keeps growing and growing until it turns into a big, orange something. What could this big, orange something be?
- Featuring sturdy board pages and durable flaps to endure lots and lots of toddler love, this first graphic novel format serves as the perfect introduction to a new world of storytelling. Using visual storytelling and minimal text to help tell the story, pre- and emerging readers can seamlessly transition from board books to more advanced formats!
- Beautifully illustrated in full color. Simple vocabulary and repetition of phrases help explore themes of feelings, friendship, and unconditional love, while also reinforcing early learning concepts like colors and opposites.
- Each new story starts with a flap. Open the flap, then read the pages from top to bottom, starting on the left and working your way to the right. A helpful diagram at the beginning of the book explains how to read the stories.
- The second book in the Wiggles & Waddle series; toddlers and young children will immediately fall in love with these loveable farm animal characters and the silly and curious way they explore their world.
