In Call of the Wild, Buck lives as a pampered house dog in California. Written in the first decade of the twentieth century, Call of the Wild and White Fang are landmark tales of adventure that put Jack London’s writing career on the map. They are also the work of a writer with an exquisite understanding of the dynamic between civilization and savagery.
作者介紹
John Griffith "Jack" London was an American novelist, journalist, and social activist. A pioneer of commercial fiction and American magazines, he was one of the first American authors to become an international celebrity and earn a large fortune from writing. He was also an innovator in the genre that would later become known as science fiction. His most famous works include The Call of the Wild and White Fang, both set in the Klondike Gold Rush era.
