Supernatural Saints: A School of Ministry from the Saints

"Who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these..." John 14:12In John 14:12, Jesus promised that his believers will do the works He did and even greater ones. Through Jesus we have access to the life, power, and gifts of the Holy Spirit which enable us to do what He promised. Throughout our 2,000-year history, God has not stopped raising up holy men and women who have been filled with the Holy Spirit and cultivated lifestyles that demonstrated the supernatural power and love of God to advance the Kingdom of God in their time.As the co-founder and Director of the Encounter School of Ministry, author Patrick Reis will unpack ministry lessons from six incredible saints who walked in the life and gifts of the Holy Spirit. In Supernatural Saints, you will sit at the feet of these heroes of our faith and learn directly from their supernatural ministry. In this book, you will learn: Signs, wonders, miracles, and healings have always been present through the history of the ChurchAbout the intimate encounters with God which led these saints to walk in the power and gifts of the Holy SpiritInsights into the practical ways each saint partnered with the Holy Spirit in prophecy, deliverance and healingClarity in teaching surrounding topics like resting in the Spirit, impartation, command prayers for healing, and lay involvement in deliverance ministryThe role of angels in ministry and how you can experience greater participation with them in your ministryThe lives and lessons of these saints offer us a "school of ministry" straight from the heart of the Church.Endorsements: Bishop David O'Connell, Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles"The saints are often seen as our heroes of faith. But the stories of their lives and supernatural ministries have sometimes seemed like folk lore, and beyond the experience of us everyday believers. Patrick closes the gap between their ministry and our experience, helps us to understand their spiritual practices, and encourages us that we too can be powerful instruments of Jesus in the world. God always raises up saints to shine like lights in the world in critical moments of history. May this book equip and activate you to be a source of hope in this suffering world."Dr. Mary Healy, S.T.D., Professor of Scripture at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, bestselling author, and international speaker"I thought I knew these saints, but Patrick Reis draws out lessons from their lives that are new, amazing, eye-opening, practical, and exactly what is needed for the Church's mission today. I find myself deeply challenged and inspired by this book."Peter Herbeck, Vice President, Renewal Ministries"Patrick Reis has written an important and timely book by giving us a rare look into the ministry habits and strategies of six of our most beloved saints. Supernatural Saints makes a genuine contribution to "equipping the saints for ministry" in our day by harvesting important ministry lessons from these saints who not only model for us the life of holiness and heroic virtue, but also teach us how to walk in the supernatural."Fr. Boniface Hicks OSB, Author and Director of Spiritual Formation, Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, PA"Patrick Reis has provided a treasure for us. On the one hand he brings down some of the most fantastical saints and saint stories and helps us understand them and how they could have taken place earlier today. On the other hand, he raises up our hearts and minds and helps us imagine how we could be more like them. This book is inspiring, practical, accessible, and enjoyable. It will make you want to be more like the saints and give you practical steps for growth in that direction.
