The Singer Trilogy: The Mythic Retelling of the Story of the New Testament
SINGER TRILOGY
內容簡介
"... I found in a university bookstore a trilogy of books that impacted my life so deeply that--twenty-five years later--I find myself still quoting lines and discussing concepts of truth from them. Literature like The Singer Trilogy will live--like Milton's Paradise Lost and James Weldon Johnson's God's Trombones. The Singer must never be allowed to be out of print. Every generation needs to read it." - Gloria Gaither, recording artist
Experience the Story of Christ LikeNever Before with Calvin Miller's Timeless Trilogy
Hundreds of thousands have already thrilled to this extraordinary retelling of a life unmatched in human history. Through the story of the Singer, his Song and his battles with the World Hater, Calvin Miller has created a work full of life. Now you can find the complete, powerful tale of incarnation and redemption in one volume, with all three of Calvin Miller's books together: The Singer, The Song, andThe Finale.
The Singer retells the story of Christ through an allegorical and poetic narrative of a Singer whose Song could not be silenced. Miller's work reinvigorated Christian literature and offered believers andseekers the world over a deeply personal encounter with the gospel.
Book two, The Song, is a poetic narrative in the tradition of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Miller tells the story of Anthem and Everyman who leave the Great WalledCity and travel to Urbis, the city of the Poet King, where followers of the Singer are martyred for their faith, envisioning parallels to the Book of Acts.
In the third book in the trilogy, The Finale, Miller tells the story of the Singer's final battle with World Hater and envisions in dynamic prose poetry the winding up of history on Terra One and the creation of Terra Two in an artistic retelling of the book of Revelation.
This magnificent reimagining of the story of Christ and his church gives young and old alike the opportunity to be immersed in the good news.
