內容簡介 The book is devoted to the socio-philosophical analysis of the concepts of equality and differences between women and men in feminism, as well as the development of the concept of gender equality. Analyzing various directions of feminism, the author shows that over the past few decades, feminism has become one of the most significant social theories. The paper examines the concepts of "equality", "similarity identity" and "differences" of women and men, analyzes the political strategies of feminism, examines the theory and practice of "state feminism" in the Scandinavian countries. The author also describes how the principles of gender equality are integrated into international legal documents and into the activities of international organizations (UN, UNESCO, ILO, WHO, European Union), and also implemented in the social policy of a number of developed countries. Having analyzed the theory and policy in the field of gender equality in our country, the author offers theoretical conclusions and practical recommendations for promoting the principle of gender equality in the culture of modern Russia. The book fills a significant gap in the analysis of the most important social theories of our time and will certainly be useful to researchers, politicians and public figures, teachers, graduate students and students.
