內容簡介 「野獸國」將提供孩子一條紓解的管道。故事從阿奇在晚上穿上野狼外套開始。阿奇在大撒野時，媽媽叫他小野獸，命令他上床睡覺，不准吃晚飯。阿奇非常氣憤，心裡想，可能我就是小野獸吧！我索性就到野獸國去。逐漸的，透過文字與圖片的魔術，阿奇的現實世界慢慢離開，房間變成了森林、天空、海洋。然後，阿奇乘著他的私人小船（每個孩子都有自己的私人小船喔！），到達野獸國。野獸國裡的野獸，雖然都有著尖嘴利牙，但看起來都肥肥憨憨的，一點也不可怕。在現實世界裡老是要聽從命令的阿奇，到了他想像世界中的野獸國，則成了一個發號司令的野獸大王。他和野獸們大大撒野了一番，發洩現實世界中的壓抑，然後再命令野獸們停止撒野、上床睡覺。最後，阿奇再度乘著私人小船回到現實世界裡。他回來的時候，發現他的晚餐正等著他，而且還是熱的呢！Read-along with the story in this book and CD edition! One night Max puts on his wolf suit and makes mischief of one kind and another, so his mother calls him 'Wild Thing' and sends him to bed without his supper. That night a forest begins to grow in Max's room and an ocean rushes by with a boat to take Max to the place where the wild things are. Max tames the wild things and crowns himself as their king, and then the wild rumpus begins. But when Max has sent the monsters to bed, and everything is quiet, he starts to feel lonely and realises it is time to sail home to the place where someone loves him best of all.
