作者介紹 ■作者簡介安娜．史威爾（Anna Sewell）作者為英國諾福克人。黑神駒一書的出版，耗費作者長達八年之久的時間。她構撰了一部溫馴名種黑馬的自傳，從馬的觀點出發，思考人與動物之間的倫理課題，兼具悲憫與關懷的情懷，就是要提醒世人，許多動物就像馬兒一樣受到虐待的情形。此書引發的迴響，改善了當代馬匹生活的條件，對於英國立法取消使用韁繩的殘酷作法，也有很大的貢獻。作者在書本出版後不久，便與世長辭，但書中所宣揚的理念，與近代保護動物的思潮不謀而合，不論在文學和保育方面，都是一部重要的文學經典。
