作者介紹

作者介紹 Rébecca DautremerRébecca Dautremer, born in 1971 in Gap, Hautes-Alpes, is a celebrated French illustrator and author of children's literature. She studied graphic design at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs and transitioned from photography to illustration in 1996, a shift that influenced her focus on lighting in her artwork. Dautremer's first children's book, L'Amoureux, was published in 2003 and won the Prix Sorcières. Known for her evocative gouache paintings, she collaborates professionally with her husband, author Taï-Marc Le Thanh.Charis AinslieCharis Ainslie is a professional translator, specialising in children's publishing, translating from French and Italian to English. She holds a degree in Modern Languages and a Master's in Interpreting and Translating.Notable achievements include Brotherlands being shortlisted for the ALTA 2023 Plays in Translation Contest and This Last Piece of Sky shortlisted for the ALTA 2022 Plays in Translation Contest. Charis has also served as a mentor in the Foreign Affairs Theatre Translator Mentorship program and taught MA-level French Specialist Translation courses.
