Winnie-the-Pooh: Tales from the Forest
Winnie-the-Pooh Classics 100Th Anniversary
NEW stunning paperback edition of Jane Riordan’s sequel collection inspired by Milne’s classic stories, with Mark Burgess’ illustrations created in the style of E.H.Shepard's iconic art.
‘With a map in your hand, you know an adventure is about to begin …'
Gorgeous 100th anniversary range’s paperback edition of the authorised sequel story collection by Jane Riordan, inspired by Milne’s classic stories about everyone’s favourite bear.
Join Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and their friends as they delve deeper into the Forest than ever before. From blackberry throwing at the Prickly Place to stargazing at the Great Bear Lookout, there’s a story waiting to be told in every corner of the Hundred Acre Wood.
This collection sees the introduction of Carmen, a little dog with lots of courage. Carmen may be small but she is mighty, and she has a loud ROAR! She was inspired by the discovery that A.A.Milne had a little toy dog mascot, which he called Carmen, with him during WW1.
Jane’s writing is filled with the gentle humour, friendship and life lessons that echo A.A.Milne’s original stories. She has a true gift for conveying the essence of Milne’s characters and the Hundred Acre Wood, while showing her real affection for Winnie-the-Pooh, a true bastion of British literary heritage.
‘One morning, Winnie-the-Pooh woke up with a tingling feeling in his toes that told him Something Good was about to happen …’
This 100th Anniversary range’s paperback edition of the authorised collection celebrates the Hundred Acre Wood. The seven brand-new stories are set after the timeless tales in Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. They take us back to much loved places that Milne’s stories and Shepard’s map introduced us to, like Eeyore’s Gloomy Place and the Poohsticks Bridge as well as new settings that Pooh and his friends have adventures in. The stories also feature trips to the British Museum and the Tower of London.
These sequel stories will be enjoyed by both new and long-standing Winnie-the-Pooh fans of all ages.
The book makes a perfect gift for the special people in your life whatever their age.
Jane Riordan has a strong pedigree in writing in the style of A.A.Milne, having also created Winnie-the-Pooh Meets the Queen, Winnie-the-Pooh Meets the King, Tales from the Forest, Winter in the Wood and Winnie-the-Pooh Easter Hunt.
The stories are decorated with beautiful illustrations by Mark Burgess in the style of E.H.Shepard. Mark is uniquely suited to this having also illustrated Return to the Hundred Acre Wood,The Best Bear in All the World, Tales from the Forest and Winter in the Wood.
