內容簡介 橈足類是水域中的微小甲殼類生物，“海水魚虱”則是橈足類中最大的一科 ── 魚虱科 Caligidae ，種類多達 450 餘種。 某些種類的魚虱對養殖魚類會造成相當的傷害；不過，在亞洲國家除了日本、印度、韓國、台灣及中國外，其他的水產養殖國家對於寄生橈足類幾乎不知其為何物。目前我們已從 243 種台灣產的海水魚上發現 10 屬 50 種海水魚虱。 本書除了提供可用來鑑定魚虱種類的檢索表之外，並對 50 種魚虱以附圖來詳細描述說明其形態特徵，也詳列出台灣所發現的 10 種魚虱屬的每一屬之定義及同種異名，同時一併附上其地理分布資料。至於其生活史及對養殖魚類的傷害等資料，對海水魚養殖者應該也有一定的參考價值。
