內容簡介 In Medias Res by Jose Parl concentrates on this humanist's personal journey through a remix of co-existing narratives; all interconnected by a chain of events and circumstances like: living in Puerto Rico, a Cuban American identity, culture-shock and its new milieus, growing up in South Florida in the 1980s and travelling throughout the Southern United States and Central America in the 1990s with continued travel throughout Europe and Asia. Parls paintings, water colours, photography, and sculpture heighten by his studies of psycho-geography bring this autobiographical non-linear narrative of open diaries into the realm of interior exterior, public private relationships with people and space synthesized by the varying sources of material like he collects. This book will feature Parl's largest site-specific painting installation to date at one of New York's most prestigious addresses.
