Mitchell is the author of Hope and Dread in Psychoanalysis, a training and supervising analyst at the William Alanson White Institute, and on the faculty at the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Margaret J. Black is Board Director and Director of Continuing Education at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies.
