內容簡介
Every Saturday morning in the mid-'80s, millions of children would pour themselves a bowl cereal, sit down on the couch, and tune in to the rip-roaring cartoon series Dungeons and Dragons. Featured in this deluxe comics collection are three "lost" episodes from that technicolored adventure! Once upon a time, a group of six friends hopped aboard a Dungeons & Dragons themed rollercoaster and it magically transported them to the Forgotten Realms! When the kids arrived, they met Dungeon Master, who gifted them with enchanted items that gave them powers. Noble ranger Hank, charismatic cavalier Eric, dexterous acrobat Diana, wise magician Presto, clever thief Sheila, and brash barbarian Bobby just want to find a way back home--but instead, they always end up fighting off forces of evil or helping those in need. Collects IDW's Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures #1-#4, Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures: Endless Summer, and Dungeons & Dragons: Saturday Morning Adventures II #1-#4 written by Eisner-nominated author David M. Booher and New York Times bestselling author Sam Maggs, and illustrated by Ringo-nominated artist George Kambadais and critically acclaimed artist Jack Lawrence. Tag along with the team as they leap through a mysterious portal and find themselves at a spooky monastery in Waterdeep! Get out the sunscreen and hit the beach with the kids as they plan on having summer vacation, only to end up tangling with dragons! And finally, set sail for the swashbuckling Sword Coast where the friends find themselves clashing with pirates!
作者介紹
David M. Booher grew up in a small Ohio town reading Stephen King, watching The Goonies, eating Lucky Charms in front of He-Man, trading Garbage Pail Kids, playing Nintendo, and going outside. Channeling his love for all the best 1980's sci-fi and fantasy, he has co-created and written comic series CANTO, POWERLESS, the LGBTQ-led KILLER QUEENS, ALIEN BOUNTY HUNTER, and the middle grade series TALES OF LAKE EERIE. He's also written several features. A lawyer by training, he lives in Los Angeles with his husband and the true masterminds behind their operation--their adopted greyhounds.
George Kambadais is a comic book artist from Greece. He worked with DC comics, DYNAMITE, IDW, IMAGE, DARK HORSE, BOOM, ONI and others. Right now he's doing the art on the JOHN CARTER OF MARS series for DYNAMITE and variant covers for DC's THE FLASH. You can find him at http: //www.gkambadais.com/
Sam Maggs is a bestselling writer of books, comics, and video games, including MARVEL ACTION: CAPTAIN MARVEL, THE UNSTOPPABLE WASP: BUILT ON HOPE, TELL NO TALES, and MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN. You can usually find her as host at comic conventions and for geeky networks like the Nerdist. A Canadian in Los Angeles, she misses Coffee Crisp and bagged milk. Visit her online at sammaggs.com or @SamMaggs!
Jack Lawrence is an English comic book artist born in Canterbury, Kent, who began his career as a character animator for Lightmaker, a web design company in the UK, in 2000.
