He is a tenured professor at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice in the USA, and has visiting chairs at Radboud University Nijmegen, University College London, UK, and the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Adrian Edwards is Professor of General Practice at Cardiff University, UK. He is also a part-time general practitioner in Cwmbran, Gwent, South Wales, and has a visiting professorship at Aarhus University, Denmark. His research interests have been in shared decision making and the development of decision aids, health literacy and self-management support.
