內容簡介
內容簡介 In the 1970's, rocker Alice Cooper (originally the name for the rock band, later just for the solo artist) had a very successful recording and touring career, reaching a peak with the "Welcome To My Nightmare " album and tour. Later, after some mainstream ballad hits in the mid-to-late 70's , he decided in 1980 to surf New Wave, the currently reigning genre, and released this album, "Flush The Fashion ". (Hmmm. I wonder if the title is an indication of how he really felt about the fad of New Wave music?). The album does have a manic quality. All tracks are upbeat; nothing resembling a ballad. Most have beats that qualify as New Wave. And in most cases there is no significant space between tracks, which contributes to the manic aspect. Every track has guitar, either crunchy or piercing lead or both, so you can't forget that you are listening to Alice Cooper. The vocals? Alice sounds just like Alice to me, and he hasn't changed because he seems to be enjoying delivering the dark-humored lyrics.Musically, the two songs that sound the most like earlier Alice Cooper tracks are "Dance Yourself To Death " and "Grim Facts ".Side One:1.
