內容簡介
內容簡介 Like the moan of a soul in pain, a melancholy lamentation, but also an early attempt to introduce a form of equality between the sexes which can be seen - and experienced - in their parallel steps, Tango has its roots in a mysterious past. In its passion, which has taken hold of millions of men and women throughout the world since it came into being - of course, nobody knows when - it encapsulates the entire history of Argentina, of its underworld, which is acted out over and over again every time the bandoneon starts up. The Tango has thus become the business of both male and female singers. Its language borrows widely from lunfardo and favours colourful characters "Tango is a sad thought you can ance to," as the poet Enrique Santos Discépolo once said.
