內容簡介 Mae的城市小花園Mae和爸爸媽媽搬新家，Mae很想把舊家的花園帶走，但媽媽說，帶不走的，新家會有新花園啊！但Mae的新家只有水泥，沒有綠地，好不容易找到長在獅子雕像旁的一小塊草皮，但是上面寫著「請勿進入」。想念花園的Mae在地上畫起蝴蝶、毛蟲、瓢蟲和藤蔓、花草、蘋果樹、水仙花…，可是雨一下，地上花園全被雨水沖刷走了…。Mae想念野餐，她靈機一動在紙箱上畫出一棵一棵的樹、花鳥，假裝自己就坐在綠地上享用美食，直到蘋果樹（紙箱）倒下。Mae拿著望遠鏡看著窗外空地，哪裡有樹呢？她決定走出門外找找。Mae意外地轉進一個小角落，上了橋，越過河，來到一座公園，沿著走竟然看一座超大的玻璃花園，可惜門是關著的，進不去。Mae待了好久，只好撿起掉落在地上的幾片葉子和種子，帶回家。Mae將它種在小瓶子裡，放在窗台邊，每天為它澆水，鄰居小朋友也一起來幫忙。之後，大家紛紛帶來盆栽，漸漸地中庭長滿了各種植物。終於，Mae又看到了她想念已久的蝴蝶！When Mae's family moves to a new home, she wishes she could bring her garden with her. She'll miss the apple trees, the daffodils, and chasing butterflies in the wavy grass. But there's no room for a garden in the city. Or is there?
